A Philadelphia Historic “Old City” Restaurant just minutes from New Jersey’s Burlington and Camden Counties.

Do you want to step back into time for a dining experience that our Nation’s founding fathers would have had? Then City Tavern is the place for you. I did just that a few days ago and had a truly great experience.  Great food and top-notch service! Located at 138 South Second Street at Walnut Street in the heart of Old City, this restaurant is just a few blocks away from the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall and Penn’s Landing. Chef Walter Staib has created a wonderful, delicious colonial menu on a historic site with authentic period ambiance. In addition City tavern offers a good selection of wines and period beverages.
So if you are looking for something to do, just minutes from Burlington or Camden Counties then drive over the Ben Franklin or Betsy Ross Bridge and head for the “cradle of Liberty” - Old City in Philadelphia.
